Travel

Welcome to our School Travel page

The Stoke Poges School encourages all children to enjoy a healthy lifestyle.  To promote this, we have a school travel plan which includes a range of initiatives and events:

  • WoW scheme http://www.livingstreets.org.uk/walk-with-us/walk-to-school/primary-schools/walk-once-a-week
  • Bikers Breakfast events
  • Enlisting Junior Road Safety Officers (JRSOs)
  • Scooter Skills club
  • Running competitions
  • Bikeability training (Cycling Proficiency)

We currently have six JRSOs who have volunteered to help promote healthy travel within the school.
They are:
Year 6 - Erin Rees, Samuel Roper
Year 5 deputies - Neha Parmar, Anouska Wedrychowski, William Howes, Yusuf Manzoor

Friday 2nd October
Bikers Breakfast event

Thank you to all the children and parents who got involved with our latest Bikers Breakfast event.
The JRSOs and staff were thrilled to see 139 children being active travelling on their bikes and scooters to school.
Also we would like to say a big thank you to the 'FRIENDS' for funding the event and providing all the children with a tasty breakfast!
